Sioux Falls, SD (June 3, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash Monday morning near Sioux Falls has left one man dead and another injured along Interstate 90.
According to reports, the incident occurred on June 2 when a Ford F-350 road construction vehicle was stationed in the right lane of westbound I-90, actively directing traffic into the left lane with a functioning warning sign and arrow.
A Dodge Grand Caravan, driven by a 50-year-old man from Flandreau, collided with the back of the stationary Ford. The impact pushed the Ford into the median, where it caught fire, while the Dodge came to a stop on the westbound shoulder.
The driver of the Dodge succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved, pending family notification. The crash remains under investigation.
