According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred at approximately mile marker 295.6 on I-80 westbound in Pocono Township. A vehicle traveling in the center westbound lane collided with another car that had slowed due to a previous crash ahead on the roadway.
The driver of the striking vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name pending notification of next of kin.
