Lafayette County, MO (December 24, 2025) — A tragic two-vehicle collision claimed the life of a Warrensburg woman on Sunday afternoon, December 21, on Missouri Route 13 just north of Highway U.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 4:02 p.m. when the driver of a 2021 Nissan Sentra lost control of her northbound vehicle. The car began to skid sideways into the southbound lane and was struck by a southbound 2019 Ford F250.

Following the impact, the Nissan traveled off the left side of the road while the Ford came to rest in the roadway. Emergency crews responded quickly, but the 72-year-old woman from Warrensburg, identified as the driver of the Nissan, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:14 p.m. by Higginsville EMS. She was later transported to Stewart-Hoefer Funeral Home.

The 48-year-old male driver of the Ford, from Grapevine, Arkansas, sustained minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.
