Tooele, UT (September 8, 2025) – A suspected DUI collision in Tooele left one person dead and another hospitalized Saturday night, according to local authorities.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at the intersection of Main Street and 2400 North. When police arrived at the scene, they encountered Bryce Fivas, who reportedly told officers he believed he had struck someone while driving northbound.
Responding officers discovered a deceased individual in the roadway and a second victim who was transported to a nearby hospital. The current condition of the hospitalized victim has not been released.
Fivas’ vehicle was located on the south side of the road, where it was reportedly on fire when officers arrived. He was subjected to field sobriety tests, which he failed, and was subsequently arrested and booked into the Tooele County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
