The incident began when Baytown police attempted to stop a BMW driver seen speeding recklessly near Alexander Drive. The driver refused to pull over and continued northbound. Officers eventually lost visual contact, and the pursuit was taken over by the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office as the vehicle crossed into the county.
