Delhi, NY (July 17, 2025) – One man was killed and a New York State Police trooper seriously injured following a head-on collision on state Highway 28 in Delaware County last Friday afternoon.
According to reports, the crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on July 11 near Glen Burnie Road in the Town of Delhi. New York State Police at Sidney responded to the scene along with multiple emergency agencies.
Preliminary findings indicate that 71-year-old Roger Hadley of Andes was driving a pickup truck southbound when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an SUV. Hadley was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV was driven by New York State Police Trooper Anna Aulino, who was off duty and heading home after completing her shift. Aulino sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center. Officials said her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing, with support from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, local fire departments, and the New York State Department of Transportation.
