Des Plaines, IL (December 7, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision claimed the life of a woman Saturday morning after a U.S. Postal Service truck collided with a car in Des Plaines.
According to the Illinois State Police, the deadly accident occurred around 10:07 a.m. on December 6 in the 1700 block of Mannheim Road. Authorities reported that a southbound USPS truck, driven by a 48-year-old man, crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a car head-on.
