Suffield, CT (December 6, 2025) – A 77-year-old woman from Windsor Locks died Thursday afternoon after a head-on collision on Route 159 in Suffield, according to local authorities.
According to the Connecticut State Police, the crash occurred around 1:45 p.m. on December 4 when a southbound sedan veered over the yellow lines and struck a northbound sprinter-style van head-on. The driver of the sedan, identified as Carol M. Brenton, sustained critical injuries and was transported for emergency medical care. She later died as a result of her injuries.
The two individuals traveling in the van sustained minor injuries and declined transportation from the scene. Route 159 was closed in both directions for several hours as investigators processed the area and cleared the wreckage.
