Hartford, CT (December 27, 2025) – A tragic Christmas night crash claimed the life of a 14-year-old and left three others seriously injured in Hartford. The crash took place around 9:20 p.m. on December 25 in the area of Cornwall Street, just south of Hebron Street.
According to the Connecticut State Police, a Toyota Camry carrying four people was struck head-on by a Tesla Cybertruck that had reportedly crossed over the yellow line. The impact caused devastating injuries to all four occupants of the Toyota. A 50-year-old man, believed to be the driver, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The teenage victim was also transported to the hospital but sadly did not survive. A woman in her 20s and a 3-year-old girl were hospitalized and are in stable condition.
The driver of the Cybertruck fled the scene on foot. Authorities have made contact with the vehicle’s owner, who claims they were not behind the wheel at the time of the crash.
