Tucson, AZ (November 29, 2025) – A 65-year-old pedestrian who was seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision last weekend has died from his injuries, according to authorities in Tucson.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety , the crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, near the intersection of Roger Road and Flowing Wells Road. Hans Fredrick Morton was reportedly crossing Roger Road when he was struck by a red 2006 Dodge Durango traveling westbound.
The driver initially stopped to check on Morton but fled the scene shortly afterward, failing to render aid. Emergency responders from the Tucson Fire Department treated Morton at the scene before transporting him to Banner University Medical Center. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
On Tuesday, November 25, the suspect, identified as 54-year-old Stephan Jud Semak, turned himself in. He was arrested and booked at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex on charges of failure to remain at the scene of a fatal accident.
