Alexandria, VA (December 15, 2025) – A high-speed crash involving a taxi, a van, and a stopped Metro bus left one person dead and three others injured Monday morning in Alexandria, according to local authorities.
According to the Virginia State Police, the incident occurred just after 10:00 a.m. on December 15 near North Kings Highway in the Fair Haven neighborhood. The taxi, traveling at a very high rate of speed, struck a van from behind, forcing the van into a stationary Metro bus at a traffic light on northbound Richmond Highway.
The taxi driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Three adult occupants of the van were injured and transported to a local hospital, with two of them suffering life-threatening injuries. Miraculously, all five passengers aboard the Metro bus, including the driver, were unharmed.
