Walton County, FL (August 29, 2025) – One woman was killed Friday morning in a multi-vehicle crash just east of Freeport at the intersection of Highway 20 and Joe Campbell Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at approximately 9:00 a.m. on August 29. Troopers said a 33-year-old man from Westville failed to stop his pick-up truck and slammed into two vehicles that were stopped along Highway 20.

The force of the impact caused the second vehicle, an SUV driven by a 50-year-old woman—also from Westville—to flip onto the shoulder. Sadly, she died at the scene.

The 33-year-old driver and his 19-year-old passenger were not injured. A third vehicle, a pick-up truck driven by a 39-year-old man from Dallas, Texas, was also involved, but he was not hurt.
