The deadly crash occurred just after 5 a.m. on December 28 along North Nimitz Highway, near the intersection with Lagoon Drive and close to Daniel K. Inouye International Airport.
According to the Hawaii Department of Public Safety, a 64-year-old driver was traveling eastbound when the vehicle hit the pedestrian. The driver remained at the scene and was not injured.
