Chatham County, GA (December 20, 2025) – A pedestrian was struck and killed late Tuesday night on East President Street, according to officials from the Chatham County Police Department.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident occurred around 11:00 p.m. on December 16 near the intersection of East President Street and Woodcook Street. Authorities report that the pedestrian, who was wearing dark clothing and standing in the roadway, was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound in the left lane. A second vehicle, traveling in the right lane, struck the victim again shortly after the first impact. Both drivers stopped and remained at the scene. Chatham EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at approximately 11:01 p.m.
