Ocala, FL (November 21, 2025) — A man from Ocala lost his life early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Southeast 137th Avenue Road, according to local authorities. The fatal incident occurred on November 19, just north of Southeast 47th Street Road.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck was heading northbound when the driver failed to navigate a right-hand curve. The vehicle veered off the roadway and entered the west grass shoulder, where it struck several trees and overturned into a ditch.
The 40-year-old male passenger seated in the right front seat was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. He was pronounced dead on the scene by Marion County Fire Rescue. The driver’s condition has not been disclosed.
