Waynesboro, GA (August 22, 2025) – A devastating crash in Burke County claimed the lives of two people Thursday afternoon at a rural intersection south of Waynesboro.
According to reports, the collision occurred at approximately 1:52 p.m. on August 22 at the intersection of Highway 25 South and Coleman Young Road. Investigators say the vehicle was heading east on Coleman Young Road and had stopped at the posted sign before attempting to turn onto Highway 25. A semi-truck traveling southbound in the right lane struck the car as it entered the roadway.
