Amarillo, TX. (November 29, 2025) – A deadly car accident on Tuesday evening claimed the life of a local man after his vehicle veered off the highway and collided with a parked trailer.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident happened around 5:39 p.m. on November 28 along Interstate 27 near Moss Lane. Sixty-five-year-old Craig Steven Long was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Tahoe, traveling south on Canyon Drive. For reasons still under investigation, Long’s vehicle left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and crashed into a parked semi-trailer.
Emergency personnel responded quickly, but Long was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the accident.
