Hillsborough County, FL (January 20, 2026) – A devastating three-vehicle crash on State Road 39 claimed the life of a 19-year-old driver late Friday night, drawing emergency response from state troopers and paramedics.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 9:05 p.m. on January 17, just south of Moriczville Lane. A 77-year-old woman from Plant City was driving a northbound Chevy Silverado when she attempted to make a left turn into a private driveway. Her vehicle crossed into the path of a southbound Nissan Versa, driven by a 19-year-old man also from Plant City.
The Nissan struck the Silverado and rotated, entering the path of a Ford F350 traveling behind the Silverado. The resulting impact proved fatal for the 19-year-old Nissan driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The Silverado driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The Ford driver was not hurt.
