Mineral Township, PA (June 21, 2025) — Two Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) employees lost their lives in a tragic truck accident in Venango County Wednesday afternoon.
According to reports, the crash occurred shortly before 3:00 p.m. on June 19 along Jackson Center Polk Road. State police say the PennDOT Mack truck was traveling eastbound when its front passenger-side tire malfunctioned for unknown reasons. The vehicle veered off the roadway into a ditch and collided with a tree.
The Venango County Coroner identified the victims as 58-year-old Robert Greenlee and 31-year-old Seth Baughman. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. A PennDOT spokesperson confirmed that the victims were employees operating a department vehicle at the time of the crash.
The Pennsylvania State Police are continuing their investigation into the mechanical failure and circumstances surrounding the incident.
