Grand Prairie, TX (December 6, 2025) – A devastating crash on Wednesday evening in Grand Prairie claimed the life of one person and left three others hospitalized, according to police. The collision occurred on December 4, 2025, around 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 287 and Prairie Ridge Boulevard.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Toyota traveling north on U.S. 287 attempted to make a left turn onto Prairie Ridge Boulevard when it collided with a southbound Ford pickup truck. Inside the Toyota were a driver and one passenger, while the Ford truck had only its driver.
Both occupants of the Toyota and the Ford driver were rushed to nearby hospitals with serious injuries. Tragically, the passenger in the Toyota succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Ellis County Medical Examiner after family notification.
