The collision occurred on December 4, 2025, around 5:40 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 287 and Prairie Ridge Boulevard.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Toyota traveling north on U.S. 287 attempted to make a left turn onto Prairie Ridge Boulevard when it collided with a southbound Ford pickup truck. Inside the Toyota were a driver and one passenger, while the Ford truck had only its driver.
Both occupants of the Toyota and the Ford driver were rushed to nearby hospitals with serious injuries. Tragically, the passenger in the Toyota succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
