Yavapai County, AZ (September 22, 2025) – A devastating crash on U.S. Highway 93 near Wickenburg left three people dead and three others injured late Saturday morning.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the fatal collision occurred just after 11 a.m. on September 20 in the southbound lanes near milepost 181. First responders arrived at the scene to find two heavily damaged vehicles, one of which had several occupants ejected.
Authorities say the driver of an Acura attempted to pass another vehicle and collided in a T-bone fashion with a second car. Three occupants in the Acura, who were reportedly not wearing seat belts, were ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. A fourth Acura passenger is in critical but stable condition. The driver of the Acura suffered only minor injuries.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. US 93 was shut down in both directions for several hours and has since reopened.
