Ellsinore, MO (December 20, 2025) – A tragic crash involving two vehicles on Highway 60 west of Ellsinore left one man dead and four others injured on Wednesday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:20 p.m. on December 17, approximately one mile west of Ellsinore. A 2012 Ford Focus, driven by a 38-year-old man from Alton, was traveling eastbound when it attempted to make a left turn into the path of an oncoming 2017 RAM 1500. The RAM, driven by a 35-year-old woman from Ellsinore, struck the Focus, resulting in catastrophic damage to both vehicles.
One passenger in the Ford, a 45-year-old male from Alton, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Ford Focus sustained serious injuries, while the 60-year-old male passenger in the RAM sustained moderate injuries.
