Apopka, FL (November 26, 2025) – A Sunday evening crash in Apopka resulted in the deaths of two elderly residents and left two teenagers seriously injured, according to state authorities.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 6 p.m. on November 24 at the intersection of Rock Springs Road and Alexandria Place Drive. An 18-year-old Apopka man was reportedly driving a Ford Mustang southbound at high speed, accompanied by a 17-year-old male passenger. At the same time, a 63-year-old man was driving a van northbound and attempting to turn west onto Alexandria Place Drive when he entered the Mustang’s path.
The Mustang struck the right side of the van, killing two passengers inside — an 81-year-old man, who died at the scene, and a 94-year-old woman, who later died at a nearby hospital. The teen occupants of the Mustang were both hospitalized with serious injuries, and the 17-year-old remains in critical condition. The van’s driver was not transported and stayed on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
