Wyoming County, PA (January 13, 2026) – A deadly collision on an icy stretch of State Route 11 in Nicholson Township took the life of a local woman early Sunday morning.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. on January 11 when a southbound 2005 Ford F-250 lost control on slick pavement and veered into the northbound lane. The truck collided head-on with a 2012 Toyota Camry traveling northbound.

The driver of the Camry, 34-year-old Victoria Njeri of Tunkhannock, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency personnel. Responders from Kunkle EMS and the Nicholson Fire Company assisted at the site, and both vehicles were towed by Plummers Towing.

No other injuries were reported. Investigators have not yet released whether any charges will follow. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
