Rondo, MO (August 20, 2025) – A collision in Polk County earlier this week claimed the life of one woman and left two others seriously injured.
According to reports, the crash happened at about 4:35 p.m. on August 18, 2025, along Highway 83, approximately 1.5 miles north of Rondo. Investigators with the Missouri State Highway Patrol stated that a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500, driven eastbound by a 62-year-old man from Flemington, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a southbound 2017 Chevrolet Equinox.
The impact resulted in the death of a 59-year-old woman from Flemington, who was a passenger in the Equinox. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Equinox, a 37-year-old woman from Wheatland, and the Dodge Ram driver both sustained serious injuries and were transported by ambulance to CMH Hospital in Bolivar. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
