Yuma, AZ (November 9, 2025) – A devastating crash on Saturday morning in Yuma claimed the life of a 71-year-old woman and left three others, including a young child, injured.
According to the Yuma Police Department, the collision occurred around 8:30 a.m. on November 8 in the 3300 block of West 16th Street. Authorities say the woman was driving a 2005 Honda Accord northbound on South 33rd Drive and attempted a left-hand turn onto West 16th Street when her vehicle was struck by a 2020 Jeep Compass traveling eastbound.
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the Honda, was rushed to Onvida Health Hospital with critical injuries and later pronounced dead. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of family.
The Jeep’s driver, along with a 27-year-old female passenger and a 3-year-old child, all sustained minor injuries and were transported to the same hospital. Investigators said alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
