According to the Oregon State Police, the fatal crash occurred around 2:04 a.m. on November 22 near milepost 62 in Josephine County. Authorities say 34-year-old Annette Dimmick of Grants Pass was driving a Chevrolet S10 southbound in the northbound lanes when she collided head-on with a northbound Volvo semi-truck and trailer driven by 68-year-old David Jellison of Alliance, Ohio. The truck was also carrying a passenger, identified as 29-year-old Ceejay Clay of Warren, Ohio.
Dimmick suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Jellison and Clay sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital. The crash led to significant highway delays, with traffic impacted for approximately four hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
