Marietta, GA (August 18, 2025) — Authorities have identified and arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly hit-and-run on Interstate 75 in Marietta last week. Officials confirmed the driver is a now-former Milton Police Department lieutenant.

According to reports, the crash occurred Wednesday, August 13, on I-75 northbound near South Marietta Parkway. Investigators said 36-year-old Terrell Lowdermilk of Chattanooga, Tennessee, was standing outside his tractor-trailer after a minor accident with another semi when he was struck by a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado.

The Silverado driver fled the scene without rendering aid. Lowdermilk was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Friday, Cobb County police identified the suspect as 48-year-old Christopher Bradshaw of Canton, a 14-year veteran of the Milton Police Department. Bradshaw was booked on felony vehicular homicide and hit-and-run charges. He was off duty at the time of the crash and has since been terminated from the department.

Milton police released a statement offering condolences to Lowdermilk’s family and confirmed Bradshaw was immediately placed on leave before being fired.
