Cornelia, GA (December 11, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash involving four vehicles resulted in four people being injured Tuesday evening on Georgia Highway 365.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred just after 6 p.m. on December 9 along the northbound lanes of Ga. 365, south of White Sulphur Road. Traffic had slowed due to congestion near a traffic light when a 2005 Acura MDX, driven by 27-year-old Libby Couch of Cornelia, failed to maintain a safe following distance and struck the vehicle in front of her.

That initial impact triggered a chain-reaction crash, with each subsequent vehicle rear-ending the one ahead. In total, four vehicles were involved in the incident.

Couch, a passenger in her vehicle, and the driver of the first vehicle struck were all transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. One additional person received treatment on scene for minor injuries. Couch was cited for following too closely and a seatbelt violation.
