GOODMAN, MO (January 11, 2025) – A sledding incident on private property along Lark Road, one mile north of Goodman, left a 19-year-old man from Joplin with serious injuries Saturday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at approximately 1:15 PM. A 2020 Ram 2500, driven by a 32-year-old man from Goodman, was pulling the 19-year-old on a sledding tube when the driver lost control. The tube collided with a pole, resulting in severe injuries to the sled rider.
The injured occupant was transported by EMS to Mercy Joplin for treatment. The driver was uninjured, and the vehicle sustained no damage.
