Jemison, AL (June 30, 2025) — A tragic head-on crash Saturday afternoon claimed the life of a Calera man along U.S. 31 in Chilton County.
According to reports, the collision occurred around 2:05 p.m. on June 28 near the 237 mile marker, about two miles north of Jemison. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers say 34-year-old Bradley J. Goggins was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado when it collided head-on with a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 38-year-old Zackary S. Moore of Thorsby.
Authorities confirmed that Goggins, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severe impact. Moore, who was also reportedly unrestrained, sustained injuries and was transported to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital for treatment.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Officials have not released further details about what may have led up to the deadly collision.
