According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. on November 28 at the intersection of Delta Road (Route 74) and Bacon Road in Chanceford Township. Investigators say a Subaru Outback traveling north attempted to pass another vehicle and entered the southbound lane, colliding head-on with a GMC Envoy.
The York County Coroner confirmed that an 80-year-old woman, a passenger in the Envoy, was killed at the scene. Emergency personnel transported other individuals involved in the crash to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been released.
