Madera, CA (October 4, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision in Madera County claimed the life of a woman and left a man seriously injured Wednesday evening near the North Fork area.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. on October 1 on Road 200 near Duke Road. A 69-year-old woman driving eastbound in a passenger vehicle reportedly veered into the oncoming westbound lane and collided head-on with a Chevy Silverado being driven by a 75-year-old man from Fresno.
Emergency responders pronounced the woman dead at the scene. The male driver of the Silverado suffered significant injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for further treatment.
