Tyler, TX (September 7, 2025) – Two teenagers were injured Friday night after a hit-and-run crash at a busy intersection in Tyler.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred around 10:24 p.m. on September 6 at the corner of West Front Street and Bruck Avenue. Authorities say a vehicle involved in the collision fled the scene before officers arrived.
An 18-year-old and a 13-year-old were both injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions have not yet been disclosed.
The driver who allegedly fled the scene, identified as 49-year-old Howard Jessie, was later arrested and booked into the Smith County Jail on charges related to the crash.
