Moss Point, MS (June 29, 2025) — Police in Moss Point are searching for two drivers involved in a fatal hit-and-run that killed a motorcyclist on Interstate 10 Wednesday night.
According to reports, the crash occurred on June 25 just before 9:00 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-10 between mile markers 68 and 69. Investigators with the Moss Point Police Department said their preliminary findings revealed that 62-year-old Michael Urbani of Vancleave was riding his motorcycle when he was struck from behind by a black Chevrolet Malibu. Moments later, an all-white 18-wheeler struck Urbani again while he was down on the roadway.
Tragically, both the Chevrolet Malibu and the 18-wheeler fled the scene without stopping to render aid. Emergency responders pronounced Urbani deceased at the scene. Moss Point Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have information about the vehicles or drivers involved to come forward.
