Houston, TX (January 28, 2025) – A 69-year-old man was killed in a collision involving a big rig Saturday evening on North McCarty Road and Liberty Road, according to the Houston Police Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. on January 25. Authorities reported that a white tractor-trailer was traveling south on North McCarty Road when it attempted to turn left onto Liberty Road. A red Toyota Camry, also traveling southbound, veered off the roadway before striking a construction sign post and then colliding with the rear of the trailer.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the Camry’s driver deceased. The big rig driver remained at the location and cooperated with investigators.
The Houston Police Department is conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash.
