According to reports, officers with the Ludington Police Department responded to the intersection of West Ludington Avenue and Robert Street around 10:15 a.m. on June 28. Their initial findings indicate that the young man, an employee of a gutter installation company based in Ada, was operating a boom lift when he made contact with two live electrical lines overhead. After striking the power lines, he fell approximately 30 feet to the ground below.
