Huntley, IL (February 15, 2026) – Emergency crews in Huntley worked Thursday morning to rescue a driver after a two-vehicle crash sent one sport utility vehicle partially into a pond near River Park Drive and Del Webb Boulevard.
According to the Illinois State Police , the incident occurred around 9:45 a.m. on February 12 just south of the intersection. Firefighters with the Huntley Fire Protection District arrived to find one vehicle near the roadway and a second vehicle that had traveled down a hill and come to rest partially in a pond, with its tires in shallow water.
Both vehicles sustained heavy damage in the collision. Firefighters performed a minor extrication to assist the driver of the sport utility vehicle out of the car.
