Austin, TX (July 12, 2025) — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 35 in North Austin sent eight people, including three children, to area hospitals Thursday night.
According to reports, the Austin Police Department and Austin-Travis County EMS were called to the scene in the southbound lanes of North Interstate 35 near Parmer Lane and Tech Ridge Boulevard on July 11. The crash, which involved multiple vehicles, forced officials to shut down all southbound lanes while crews responded.
The Texas Department of Transportation confirmed both the northbound and southbound lanes were closed for a time due to related incidents but were fully reopened by 10:50 p.m. Thursday. Emergency medics treated eight people at the scene. Three adults and three children were transported to local hospitals with injuries described as minor, while two other adults declined to be taken for additional care.
