Bethlehem, PA (January 7, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Route 22 West in Lehigh County sent a local man to the hospital Friday afternoon. The incident occurred January 2, just after 1:50 p.m., near mile marker 324.9 in Bethlehem.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the collision involved a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser driven by a 64-year-old man from Bethlehem and a 2022 Lexus driven by a 37-year-old woman from North Whitehall. Emergency responders transported the male driver to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill. His condition was not immediately known as of Monday morning.
The female driver was evaluated at the scene for a minor injury. Trooper Nathan Branosky of Troop M confirmed that the male driver is facing a citation related to the crash. Authorities are continuing their investigation.
