Cowlitz County, WA (November 30, 2025) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Washington State Highway 504 in Cowlitz County, according to authorities.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:00 p.m. on November 29 near the intersection with Finkas Road. Conner Kruse, 30, of Toutle, was driving a Toyota 4Runner eastbound on State Route 504 when he attempted to pass a Volvo S60 that had stopped to turn left into a private driveway.
As Kruse moved to pass on the left, his SUV collided with the turning Volvo. Both Kruse and his 18-year-old passenger from Silverlake sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. A 61-year-old passenger in the Volvo, a resident of Marysville, was also hurt. The 60-year-old Volvo driver was not injured.
Kruse was cited for improper passing. The collision remains under investigation.
