Columbia, MO (July 20, 2025) – A man suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash Friday night after his SUV veered off a rural road in Gasconade County and overturned.

According to reports, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 9:20 p.m. on July 18. The crash occurred along Klott Road, just east of First Creek Road, when a 1998 Jeep Cherokee heading east failed to navigate a curve.

The vehicle went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and came to rest on its side. The driver, a 40-year-old man from Hermann, Missouri, was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected during the crash. Emergency medical crews from Hermann EMS transported him to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.

The Jeep sustained heavy damage as a result of the rollover. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
