Oakfield, NY (June 15, 2025) – A man was seriously injured Saturday afternoon following a collision in Genesee County that prompted an emergency airlift to a Rochester hospital.
According to reports, the crash occurred at the intersection of Fisher Road and Drake Street Road in the Town of Oakfield. Deputies with the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office say a car either ran a stop sign or entered the intersection in front of an oncoming pickup truck. The truck struck the car broadside, severely damaging the vehicle and trapping the driver inside.
Emergency crews worked to free the man before he was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment. His name and current medical condition have not yet been disclosed.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
