Peoria County, IL (June 28, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision in Peoria County caused injuries and led authorities to shut down a section of Route 24 on Friday evening.
According to reports, the crash happened around 6:15 p.m. on June 27 along Route 24 near Trivoli Road, between Glasford and Banner Marsh. Illinois State Police confirmed that both lanes of Route 24 were closed as crews worked at the scene.
Glasford Police Department and the Timber-Hollis Fire Protection District also responded to the crash site to assist with traffic control and aid the victims. Although the exact number of people hurt has not been released, officials reported that at least one person sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
