Injury Crash in Washington Twp., PA — Teens Hurt After Vehicle Hits Tree Stump (July 26, 2025)

Washington Township, PA (August 6, 2025) — A crash involving a young driver and three teenage passengers left two injured after a car went off the road and struck a tree stump in Jefferson County late last month.

According to reports, the crash occurred around 11:57 a.m. on July 26 along Pardus Road in Washington Township. Pennsylvania State Police say 22-year-old Daniel D. Domka, of Mansfield, Ohio, was driving a 2016 Honda southbound when he failed to navigate a left-hand curve, causing the vehicle to cross over the roadway and strike a tree stump.

The vehicle sustained disabling front-end damage and came to rest off the side of the road, facing south. Three teenage passengers were in the car at the time, including two 16-year-olds—one from Escondido, California, and the other from Mansfield, Ohio—and a 17-year-old from Bluffton, Indiana.

The California and Indiana teens were transported to Penn Highlands DuBois for treatment of suspected minor injuries. Domka and the third teen were not hospitalized. Police confirmed that all four occupants were wearing seat belts. Domka was cited for driving too fast for road conditions.

Protect Your Rights After an Accident Today

When young passengers are hurt in a crash, the emotional and financial toll can be significant for families. Even when injuries appear minor, victims may face ongoing medical care, counseling, and long-term impacts. It’s crucial for families to know their legal rights in such situations—particularly when negligence is a factor. A personal injury attorney can help uncover all avenues for compensation and ensure that responsible parties are held accountable.
