Norfolk, VA (September 11, 2025) — One person suffered serious injuries following a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning on Interstate 64 in Norfolk, according to Virginia State Police.
According to the Virginia State Police, the collision occurred around 7:30 a.m. on September 11 in the eastbound lanes of I-64, just past the Newtown Road exit. Investigators say 25-year-old Jerome McDuffie of Chesapeake was driving when he rear-ended another vehicle. The impact left the other driver with serious injuries, and they were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A third vehicle was involved but its driver was unharmed. McDuffie was not injured and has since been charged with reckless driving.
