According to reports, the collision occurred at approximately 7:25 p.m. on August 21 near mile marker 410.7 in Wyandotte County. The incident involved a 2021 Ford F150 and a 2025 Nissan Rogue, both traveling east when the Nissan slowed or stopped for traffic and was rear-ended by the Ford. The impact pushed the Nissan into the inside barrier wall.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where 55-year-old Marty Flowers of Lynchburg, Virginia, was transported to Providence Hospital with suspected minor injuries. The driver of the Ford, 41-year-old Steven Case of Otsego, Minnesota, was reportedly uninjured. Both vehicles were towed by Santa Fe Tow.
