Topeka, KS (December 3, 2025) – A section of Interstate 70 westbound was temporarily closed Sunday evening following a possible three-vehicle crash that caused at least one reported injury, according to local authorities.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the collision occurred around 5:05 p.m. on December 1, between Southeast 10th Street and Southeast Topeka Boulevard. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and shut down part of I-70 West to allow crews to assist those involved and clear the roadway.
At least one person sustained a minor injury and was treated at the scene. The extent of vehicle damage and the cause of the crash are still under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
