Joplin, MO (August 27, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash just west of Joplin on Junge Boulevard resulted in one woman being hospitalized and both vehicles totaled, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 6:05 p.m. on August 25, about one mile west of Joplin in Jasper County. Authorities say the driver of a 2019 Nissan Kicks, a 33-year-old man from Galena, Kansas, was traveling westbound when he failed to yield and collided with a northbound 2008 Ford Mustang.
The Ford Mustang, driven by a 56-year-old woman from Joplin, sustained total damage in the crash. She was wearing her seatbelt and was transported by Metz Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Joplin with minor injuries. The Nissan driver was not reported injured, though he was not wearing a safety restraint at the time of the crash.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by H and H Towing of Joplin. The incident remains under investigation.
