Ionia Township, MI (January 5, 2025) – A 39-year-old man from Pewamo was killed, and a 4-year-old boy sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Ionia Township.
The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash at approximately 8 p.m. in the 3300 block of East Stage Road. Authorities reported that the man was driving eastbound with the child in the vehicle when he left the road’s shoulder and collided with a tree.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The 4-year-old boy was transported to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids with non-life-threatening injuries.
